Kentucky Connections CHADD hopes to serve as a vital community for individuals affected by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The primary purpose of this peer group is to provide a safe and inclusive space where participants can share their experiences, challenges, and successes related to ADHD.

This group offers a platform for individuals to exchange information, strategies, and coping mechanisms for managing ADHD symptoms in various aspects of life, such as education, work, relationships, and daily routines. Participants often share personal stories to foster understanding and empathy with each other.

One of the essential functions of our ADHD peer group is to ensure that participants voices are heard and validated. It's a place where frustrations and difficulties can be openly discussed without judgment, offering a sense of relief and solidarity.

Moreover, this groups purpose is to provide an opportunity to connect with others who are going through similar experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the state. By finding common ground with peers, individuals can feel less isolated and more empowered to navigate the challenges associated with ADHD.

Overall, our ADHD support group serves as a beacon of support, understanding, and encouragement for its participants, helping them to navigate the complexities of living with ADHD while building a strong sense of community within their state. We hope that we can build our group to extend support beyond just adults and to eventully include families, Teens and children.

CHADD Local Support Groups and Affiliates Need Your Support

CHADD has local support groups in every state in the United States. Each group offers programming or information specific to their geographic area. These groups offer assistance for parents, children, young adults, adults and other stakeholders (psychologists, teachers, doctors, etc.). These groups provide advocacy, support, networking and information to those affected by AD/HD in their communities.

Ways you can support these efforts are as follows:

  • Donate to this effort

  • Contact your local CHADD group to advocate for support groups

  •  Contact your school district to host and support newly forming or current groups

  • Contact your local community foundation or other foundations in your area to support this effort
