Join us to receive the latest ADHD information, exchange ideas and connect with other parents who share your experiences!

Any adult family member, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, caregivers, school personnel etc. are allways welcome to come and learn more about how ADHD affects you and your childs life and what they can do to improve their lives!

AD/HD Awareness Week- September 14-20, 2008

In recognition of AD/HD Awareness Week, CHADD has prepared a video featuring leading experts on the topic.

Greene County Parents Satellite of CHADD at the Greene County Youth Fair 2008
Patti a support group member and active volunteer for group activities is pictured above at our booth at the Greene County Youth Fair. She helped pass out literature and talked with many people about our support group and ADHD. She also was instumental in setting up our computer for web access to the ADHD Awareness Day video from CHADD to run throughout the day at the booth.

Members of the group and myself got a chance to talk with lots of people- parents,bus drivers,our local assemblymen and other professionals in the community. We made valuable contacts with local agencies to use us as a local resource. They were all excited we were here! We even talked with kids with ADHD themselves. It was a wonderful experience!

This was our second year having a booth at the fair and we look forward to it again next year.
I'd like to thank my son for helping also at the booth,for setting up audio and as always for helping the group to succeed. He is my "behind the scenes" inspiration-he has many great ideas and is faithfull every month helping me to prepare for meetings. He is the reason I embarked on this endeavor and I have'nt looked back. I love you Mike.
Also, I'd like to thank my husband for always being there. He picks up where I leave off,he is my source of constant support in everything I do. He attends meetings,rallies support from the community and tells everyone he meets about our group. Words cant express my gratitude.

Finally, I'd like to thank Patti for all her help at meetings,advertising for the group and being our "unofficial" secretary. Patti is extremley dedicated and has become a good friend.

CHADD does not endorse or represent products, services, publication, medications or treatments. Meetings are free and open to the public, although membership with CHADD is strongly encouraged, since your local group will receive a portion of your dues to continue supporting your community.
