Long Beach CHADD Offers Parent to Parent Training.

We are confident that this training is the finest training offered for parents with special needs.  Those attending the class receive the best and latest information on all aspects of AD/HD and its various challenges.  This class is literally JAM-PACKED with information, and graduates leave with a MUCH better understanding and confidence in their ability to parent.

Long Beach CHADD SALUTES OUR GRADUATE PARENTS!!!

We will be offering the Parent to Parent training again in the FALL.  An announcement will be made later to all those on our mailing list.  If you would like to be on the mailing list or on a waiting list for the class, please email us at long-beach@chadd.net.  Remember, Parent to Parent training is offered only to CHADD members.  Please make sure your membership is current before registering for class.

HELP US TO HELP YOU!
Long Beach CHADD has partnered with Cars 4 Causes to accept vehicle donations on behalf of our group.  Help your local AH/HD community by donating your used vehicles.  All donations are completely tax-deductible, and you know that 100% of the money we receive will go back into supplying services to adults and children with AD/HD.  To donate, visit www.cars4causes.net.

EMAILING US: Our email address is now long-beach@chadd.net. This will be our permanent email contact address.

Please register your contact information with CHADD** so that we may reach you with the latest information about our upcoming meetings. We prefer EMAIL addresses. Due to the expense of mailings, if you wish to receive notice by US mail, please call 562-676-7393 to arrange for printing/postage payment.

** Your privacy is protected and will not be used for any other purpose except to contact you about CHADD programs and activities.

Do you need immediate assistance?

As a volunteer, I may not be able to get back to you if you need immediate assistance.

If you are seeking information for something that is time-sensitive (such as an IEP/Section 504 meeting at your child’s school), or are looking for a local  professional with AD/HD expertise, please contact CHADD’s National Resource Center on AD/HD (NRC), online at www.help4adhd.org or by phone toll-free at 800-233-4050 (press option 2, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Eastern time).

The NRC is staffed by trained health information professionals who can answer many of your questions about AD/HD and provide other helpful information and resources. (NOTE: the NRC does not provide legal or medical advice, but can offer ideas and suggestions to help you find what you are looking for).

CHADD does not endorse or represent products, services, publication, medications or treatments. Meetings are FREE and open to the public, although membership with CHADD is strongly encouraged, since your local group will receive a portion of your dues to continue supporting your community.

Get Moving!

CHADD is part of a social movement more than 20 years in the making that seeks to reshape how society treats, accommodates, and views people with AD/HD. Our movement is made up of countless individuals with AD/HD, their families, teachers, friends, and leaders in the mental health field. We realize the most effective way to accomplish our goals is through sustained and strategic outreach to policymakers on the state and federal levels. The leaders of our movement are recognized and respected in the halls of Congress, in statehouses across the country, and in meetings where public policy is interpreted. The CHADD Web site provides you with information on public policy and how you can take action. We look forward to seeing you on the frontlines. Click here to learn more
