Please read below to find out about our next support group meeting and upcoming Parent-to-Parent educational programs!

Valley of the Sun Parents' Support Group in Memory of Dr. Clare Jones meets monthly.  There is no charge for this group and it is open to the public.

Parent-to-Parent programs are 7 weeks long and are run every 2 months or as they fill up.

CHADD Valley of the Sun is pleased to announce that...
Parent-to-Parent educational groups are back!

We are fortunate to have two wonderful volunteers recently certified as P2P trainers.  They are eager to share all of their knowledge with you and are looking to start a class in September.  If you are not familiar with P2P, Parent-to-Parent educational programs are seven weeks long and provide an overview of the very complicated and oftentimes confusing world of AD/HD.  The participant will leave the course with a large binder of wonderful resource material including the most up-to-date and valid information that CHADD has to offer.  Participants meet one night a week for seven weeks.  The course costs $145 for non-CHADD members; if you are already a member of CHADD, the fee is $100.  Contact Diane or Debbie at parenttoparentphoenix@gmail.com for more information.

Support Group

At the support group, you will be able to find support, information, advice, a shoulder to cry on...all from parents who have been where you are.  Come see what we all can learn from each other!  Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month from 6-8 pm at a new location...Lexis Preparatory School, 16117 North 76th Street, Scottsdale, 85260.  If you need specific directions, you can call the school directly at 480-391-3901.  Check out the map to Lexis under the Links tab.

**If you are not a CHADD member, or are new to CHADD,
please register your contact information with CHADD so that we can contact you about local activities.  Your privacy is protected and will not be used for any other purpose except to contact you about CHADD programs and activities.

Do you need immediate assistance?

Do you need information and resource help?
As a volunteer, I try to respond as quickly as possible to all requests about our local CHADD group.

However, if you have a more pressing need for information or assistance about the many aspects of dealing with AD/HD (including diagnosis, treatment options, educational rights, etc.), please contact CHADD’s National Resource Center on AD/HD (NRC), online at www.help4adhd.org or by phone at 800-233-4050 (press option 2, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Eastern time).

The NRC is staffed by trained Health Information Specialists who can answer many of your questions about AD/HD and provide other helpful information and resources.  (NOTE: although the NRC does not provide legal, medical or other professional advice, Specialists can offer ideas and suggestions to help you find what you are looking for).

Community resources and national resources:  We will soon have a list of local non-profit organizations, national organizations and CHADD professional and organizational members who have requested to be in our directory in the area in the links section.

DISCLAIMER: CHADD does not endorse or represent products, services, publications, medications or treatments. Meetings are free and open to the public, although membership with CHADD is strongly encouraged, since our local group receives a portion of your dues to continue supporting our community.

Volunteer Opportunities:

If you would like to volunteer your talents to this group, please send us an e-mail at valley@chadd.net
