 SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS

For Teens with AD/HD

Children and teens with AD/HD have a difficult time navigating the outside world. How does a parent go about taking this hidden disability into account at home and providing a safe, nurturing environment and still maintain order?

Teen AD/HD Support Group

at Exton Baptist Church, 141 E. Swedesford Road, Exton, PA  19341-2334

Teens with AD/HD (also known as ADD) face challenges that friends and family might not understand. This discussion group provides a rare opportunity to meet other teens with AD/HD and to learn strategies to manage the challenges and recognize the gifts of AD/HD. Parents must stay on the premises during the group. A CHADD member is present to answer questions and facilitate networking and resource sharing. This group does not meet during the summer.

If you have a question about AD/HD that needs a response

Our chapter is managed by a group of dedicated volunteers and are unable to respond to immediate requests for assistance.  If you are seeking information for a time-sensitive event, like an IEP meeting, please contact CHADD's National Resource Center on AD/HD at 800-233-4050, press 2 (9-5:00 weekdays).  You can also go to www.help4adhd.org for additional AD/HD information.  You can download our "What We Know" sheets and find answers to "frequently asked questions".

CHADD does not endorse or represent products, services, publication, medications or treatments. Meetings are free and open to the public, although membership with CHADD is strongly encouraged, since your local group will receive a portion of your dues to continue supporting your community.
