The Portland Metro Adult Support Group meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month (except December) from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the Wilcox Bldg. Conf. Room A or B at the Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, 1015 NW 22nd Street (and NW Marshall Street), Portland.

The Wilcox Bldg apparently has it's own postal / GPS address, 2211 NW Marshall Street, for those who rely ontheir smartphone for directions. The two conference rooms are located on the ground/street level across the small parking lot to the right of the building's main staircase.

The next meeting, Tuesday, July 16th, will feature a guest speaker, Brittany Smith, a corgnitive neuroscientist from Eugene who has developed a special niche in coaching.  Her presentation will be on:

Know Brain, Know Gain: Making Technology Work *With* Your ADHD

We are tethered to our devices. We use them for everything: communication, note taking, research, calendar, task lists, getting our work done, entertainment, and distractions. But what are the risks with using an "everything" device constantly? How does ADHD interact with the technology in our lives? We'll discuss the cognitive science of how we use our phones. What are the risks— and rewards— of our devices and how they can be used to work best for us.
