The Adult ADHD Support Group of Portland Metro CHADD meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month, except in December, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in Conference Room A or B in the basement of the Wilcox Building, immediately adjacent to the right of the main Samaritan Legacy Hospital campus, located at the "T" intersection of NW 22nd Avenue and NW Marshall Street. The meeting room can be accessed via the small parking lot to the right of the Wilcox Building front steps.

At our October 18th meeting, Robert Verhoogen, MD, will lead an interactive discussion, “Attention 101,” addressing that your interest in this support group most likely stems from your having, thinking you have, or others thinking that you may have an attention-related problem. None the less, have you considered what it really takes to “pay attention” or "be attentive,” thought about the main components of that process, identified the missing links if any in your own attention system, or recognized what forms of attention are most problematic for you?

“Attention 101” is a prelude to his presentation Tuesday, November 15th, about “Why or Why Not Medicate.”

Stumptown CHADD is a Chapter of the national organization covering Washington County. Its Parent Support Group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.  The group is hosted by Providence St. Vincent Hospital  9502 SW Barnes Rd in Portland.
