Upcoming CHADD West L.A. Meetings

January:  "De-cluttering and Organizing for the ADHD Family "

WHERE:       Westside  Regional Center,
5901 Green Valley Circle, #320 -  Culver City, CA

WHEN:         Tuesday, 1/16/2018    6:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Come early to network and for support!

SPEAKER:      Dr. Regina F. Lark, PhD, CPO ®

Families with one or more members with an ADHD diagnosis may find it
challenging to maintain a semblance of an orderly, chaos-free lifestyle. It's
not hard to imagine that clutter and disorganization manage to show up in
various areas of the home (including garage and car!) and will often lend to
feelings of frustration and anxiety, leading to yelling and fighting and at
that point, no one in the family can possibly be happy; overcoming daily
obstacles can be an obstacle in itself. At best, it is difficult to find organizing
methods for individuals and families dealing with non-traditional ways of
being in the world. This workshop will address alternative ways of decluttering
and organizing for those who may not be served by the
mainstream solutions.

Learning Outcomes:
• To organize for one’s ability and then modify for ADHD.
• To provide tools and strategies for organizing the environment of
those with physical limitations to enhance their quality of life to
promote self-reliance and self-esteem.
• To learn strategies for including family members to support
organizing initiatives and goals so that a stress-reduced environment
is created for all.
• To provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions about their
particular organizing needs.

Presenter: Dr. Lark, the owner of A Clear Path: Professional Organizing
and Productivity, is a featured speaker and educator on issues ranging
from time management, productivity, and women’s leadership. As a
Certified Professional Organizer CPO® she specializes in working with
people with chronic disorganization, ADHD, procrastination, time

SPEAKER:   Alan Brown, ADHD Coach (virtual presentation)

Think about ADHD frustrations that drive us nuts daily:
• I never have enough time and always feel it’s running out.
• Nothing I do is easy, as it seems to be for everybody else!
• Why can’t I get motivated to start – let alone finish – projects?
• Even when I’m motivated to attack something, my mind just won’t
  fire up.

These, and other frustrations have one thing in common: they are driven in
large part by our mind’s – or inner voice’s -- interpretation. And therefore,
can be reduced or eliminated by managing that voice.

Presenter: Alan Brown, creator of the acclaimed ADD Crusher™ video
series and host of Crusher™TV at, will tell you how.
