(NOTE: the NRC does not provide legal or medical advice, but can offer ideas and suggestions to help you find what you are looking for). CHADD does not endorse or represent products, services, publication, medications or treatments. Meetings are free and open to the public, although membership with CHADD is strongly encouraged, since your local group will receive a portion of your dues to continue supporting your community.

Come early to network and for support! Speaker and Topic - DON’T MISS THIS PRESENTATION!! We are excited to have: Esther B. Hess, Ph.D. presenting: DIR/Floor Time: A Developmental/Relational Approach to the Treatment of Children and Adolescent Impacted by AD/HD Dr. Hess is a developmental psychologist with more than 30 years of clinical experience. Dr. Hess specializes in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with regulatory disorders like AD/HD utilizing the developmental/relational method of intervention known as DIR/Floor Time. In addition, Dr. Hess is the executive director of a multidisciplinary treatment facility in West Los Angeles, Center for the Developing Mind. in addition to demonstrating DIR/Floor Time with younger children, Dr. Hess will also be sharing how she uses this treatment modality as a developmentally sensitive method for helping adolescents and young adults in social skills groups though role playing, social story narrations and collective strategy sessions on topics ranging from bullying, to personal hygiene to safe dating practices.
