Our Chapter is a volunteer organization that works to maintain a support network and forum for continuing education for parents, adults, adolescents, couples, professionals, and teachers regarding AD/HD by being a community resource for information. Our Chapter presents a wide-range of information and education on AD/HD while working to follow the science-based, multimodal approach to treatment for AD/HD which is recommended by the National Institutes of Mental Health and the Office of the U.S. Surgeon Generals. A multimodal treatment plan can be done with or without medication and includes any or all of the following (but is not all-inclusive): behavioral and cognitive therapies, individual-couples-and-family counseling, school consultations, nutritional & exercise-based treatments, collaborative problem solving, skills building, accomodations, modifications, and pull-outt services as necessary (see disclaimer below for more information)

As a volunteer, I may not be able to get back to you if you need immediate assistance. If you are seeking information for something that is time-sensitive (such as an IEP/Section 504 meeting at your child’s school), or are looking for a local professional with AD/HD expertise, please contact CHADD’s National Resource Center on AD/HD (NRC), online at www.help4adhd.org or by phone toll-free at 800-233-4050 (press option 2, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Eastern time).
The NRC is staffed by trained health information professionals who can answer many of your questions about AD/HD and provide other helpful information and resources. (NOTE: the NRC does not provide legal or medical advice, but can offer ideas and suggestions to help you find what you are looking for).
