CHADD offers these additional avenues of support that may be helpful to you.

  • The  National Resource Center on AD/HD- www.help4adhd.org
  • CHADD's Online Community:  The message boards provide a virtual online community for persons with AD/HD, parents/guardians. Our message boards are available to thousands of members from around the United States and is available 24 hours a day.  The online community is a secure place to share with others and you can post messages anonymously if you wish.
  • Call 800-233-4050 or visit www.chadd.org to learn more about CHADD's programs and member benefits available to you all year long.

We have suspended our Adult Peer Group Meeting due to the work schedule of the leader.  If there is someone that would like to lead the group, please contact us and we would be happy to discuss the possibility of starting the group up again.

We will resume our regular monthly Chapter meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in September.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you are seeking information for something that is time-sensitive (such as an IEP/Section 504 meeting at your child’s school), or are looking for a local  professional with AD/HD expertise, please contact CHADD’s National Resource Center on AD/HD (NRC), online at www.help4adhd.org or by phone toll-free at 800-233-4050 (press option 2, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Eastern time).  You can also try the Parent Information Center of Delaware at www.picofdel.org

The NRC is staffed by trained health information professionals who can answer many of your questions about AD/HD and provide other helpful information and resources. (NOTE: the NRC does not provide legal or medical advice, but can offer ideas and suggestions to help you find what you are looking for).

CHADD does not endorse or represent products, services, publication, medications or treatments. Meetings are free and open to the public, although membership with CHADD is strongly encouraged, since your local group will receive a portion of your dues to continue supporting your community. 



Volunteer Opportunities:

If you are still interested in volunteering please email or speak to us at a meeting.

There is always a need for professionals/and non-professionals with a background or interest in:
Grant-writing
Conference planning
program/speaker planning
Communication / Letters and mailings
Adult support group help
Monetary donation which is tax-deductible. This can help offset the costs for printing for handouts and brochures and for postage.
