Going Back to School in a World of Uncertainty: Coping with Anxiety and Depression

This presentation will focus on understanding how family members may be at risk for anxiety and depression in the fluid and unstable environment of COVID-19. Information on signs of depression and anxiety will be provided. Coping tools and communication with schools for prevention will be highlighted.
Aspiring Families is a mental health treatment center in San Diego (Del Mar/Carmel Valley) founded by Azmaira Maker, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist with over twenty years of expertise. Dr. Maker completed her training at the University of Michigan in the dual Child/Family and Adult programs, specializing in behavioral, mood, and anxiety disorders. Dr. Maker is the author of two award winning books on loss.
