“Is it ADHD, ASD, or both?: Neurological Conditions and Clinical Considerations”
January 13, 2021 | 8:00 PM–9:30 PM
ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are two of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders yet are also often misdiagnosed or diagnosed together, making the diagnostic and treatment processes confusing. This talk will focus on understanding the difference between the two conditions, as well as what a comorbid presentation of both looks like. Considerations for diagnosis, treatment planning, and advocacy will be shared. Although emphasis will be on information for affected individuals and their families, the presentation will also include practical clinical considerations for professionals and educators working with this population.
