Topic: Integrating a Self-led parenting approach through an IFS lens. This Self-led/IFS approach brings emotional intelligence to the forefront by training the parent to be aware of their emotions that might be in the "driver's seat", which is absolutely understandable. When parents have curiosity towards their own emotional states, a self-compassionate inner connection where emotional regulation will be fostered within the caregiver, allowing the parent to become the healthy co-regulator they intend to be.

Discussion in the safe container/space to allow parents a community connection time with one another.

  • Curiosity towards emotional states/parts is the gateway to emotional regulation [E.Q.];
  • Embracing the intentions of our struggling parts will allow for self-compassion;
  • Curiosity and compassion towards our Inner Critic voices/narratives - even as parents - will create a 'brake pedal' in the noise where emotional regulation can show-up and be a discerning voice in the storm of life ---> this can create a patient voice of hope and inner healing that serves as a 'contagious compass' where loved ones will experience the co-regulation as ease to their nervous systems as well.
