CHADD of Ohio presents our January Speaker Series Meeting:
You are not “Too Sensitive”: Understanding ADHD and Rejection Sensitivity
If feedback feels crushing, small moments feel personal, or emotions seem to hit fast and hard, you’re not alone. This presentation explains how ADHD affects emotional regulation and why rejection sensitivity is so common. We’ll break down the brain-based reasons behind these reactions and introduce tools to help you pause, regulate, and respond rather than react.
Our speaker for the evening is Jean Tidd, LISW-S, SAP, ADHD-CCSP, an ADHD specialist who helps clients stop fighting their brains and start working with them. She specializes in emotional intensity, rejection sensitivity, and executive functioning challenges, offering practical tools grounded in neuroscience and real-world experience. Jean’s approach is validating, direct, and focused on helping clients build confidence and emotional resilience.
