Qué es el Entrenamiento de Padre a Padre sobre que es el Trastorno por Deficit de Atencion e Hiperactividad?
Este entrenamiento fue desarrollado por Linda Smith, Beth Kaplanek y Mary Durheim durante un periodo de casi dos años.
Este programa de Padre a Padre provee información educativa y apoya a individuos y familias que tratan con el Deficit de Atencion e Hiperactividad (ADHD/TDAH) y estan aprendiendo a enfrentar los desafíos del TDA/H en el trancurso de la vida. Los cursos se ofrecen en las comunidades de todo el país.
El plan de estudios fue desarrollado por padres que ademas de haber vivido la experiencia, han tenido acceso a los mejores investigadores y profesionales en el país. El curso tiene una duracion aproximada de 14 horas y por lo general se ofrece como una clase de siete sesiones o módulos, de dos horas cada uno. Los participantes reciben materiales extensos que los apoyan, incluyendo artículos, materiales de referencia, folletos, y tareas. El plan de estudios es muy estructurado e incluye información sobre:
•Descripción General del TDAH (ADHD)
•Evaluación de Tratamiento Multimodal
•Manejando el Impacto del TDAH en la Familia
•Desarrollo de estrategias de crianza de los hijos e Intervenciones de Comportamiento Positivo
•Derechos Educativos para los niños con TDAH.
•Construyendo un equipo de Educación: Cerrando la brecha entre Hogar y Escuela
•Resistencia, Desafíos en la adolescencia y el éxito futuro
