Welcome! CHADD Southern Tier is a local support group of the national nonprofit Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD). Our collective mission is to empower individuals affected by ADHD. Our vision is a world that recognizes, incorporates, and celebrates the strengths of those with ADHD.
- ADHD is a neurogenetic disorder that often includes executive function and emotional regulation challenges. CHADD Southern Tier was created to build awareness while countering myths and misunderstandings associated with ADHD.
- We intend to offer groups for parents/caregivers, teachers, medical professionals and any other individual interested in ADHD in and around Broome County, New York.
- Topics at our meetings will cut across the most critical domains of development for people with ADHD. Professional treatment, including medications, school and available support, household environments, social relationships and the workplace.
- In addition to providing speakers who have the latest information in each of these areas for parents and adults, we also hold monthly social and support group meetings that allow conversations between parents and adults with ADHD in a safe and supportive environment.
- See our calendar for upcoming events.
- CHADD believes in improving the lives of people living with ADHD through advocacy, education and outreach. To learn about CHADD membership, please see the bottom of the this page.
