Welcome!

Are you overwhelmed by parenting your child or teen with ADHD? Then you are in the right place!

The Morris County Chadd group is a parent support group for parents of kids and teens with ADHD.

Our group meets to discuss any and all challenges we face as parents.  We share resources, exchange names of professionals we have found helpful, share our stories and most of all help each other to know that we are not alone.

Local Volunteer Opportunities

There is strength in numbers.  Please consider giving some of your time to our community on a one time or ongoing basis.  Please contact Leila Chayut, LCSW at MorrisCounty@chadd.org to discuss your interests.  Examples of help needed include:

  • Research and outreach to ADHD speakers inviting them to speak at an upcoming meeting
  • Hosting a meeting for a particular topic of interest (ie. siblings of kids with ADHD, impact on marriage, girls with ADHD, etc.)
  • Creating and maintaining resource lists for professionals in the community and keeping electronic records of this for easy distribution
  • Outreach to members in need of support

If you are a professional in the field of ADHD and would like to speak at an upcoming event, please contact me at the email address provided.  Thank you.

CHADD NATIONAL

CHADD Local Support Groups and Affiliates Need Your Support

CHADD has local support groups in every state in the United States. Each group offers programming or information specific to their geographic area. These groups offer assistance for parents, children, young adults, adults and other stakeholders (psychologists, teachers, doctors, etc.). These groups provide advocacy, support, networking and information to those affected by AD/HD in their communities.

Ways you can support these efforts are as follows:

  • Donate to this effort

  • Contact your local CHADD group to advocate for support groups

  •  Contact your school district to host and support newly forming or current groups

  • Contact your local community foundation or other foundations in your area to support this effort

For questions on these, or any options to support CHADD please visit our web site at https://chadd.org or contact the CHADD National office at (301) 306-7070.
